T-41 (Cessna 172F) POH (Wgt & Bal is at the end of the POH)

T-41 Engine Information

A Garmin 496 WX is mounted to the side window. The manual is behind the passenger seat.  The weather part has a 3 to 5 minute update pattern. The #1 thing you will see is being able to get METARS by toggling over the flags by the airports. They even dumb it down one step further, if the flag is red it is IFR at that location. You can enter through lightning, winds aloft, area forecasts. To see the weather throughout the US hit the out button and you will see where stuff is. It also gives you up to date TFR info. If you don't have a print out of a towered airport for taxi ways and intersections, no problem just hit in to get a tight view and it will have all intersections marked. Also, while flying you can toggle over to a airport and get all comm. Info and runway info by hitting enter when the cursor is where you want to be. You hit quit button to get back to map screen. Fail safe for screw up is power off and back on. For VFR all you need is a sectional for back up, it is paperless flying to a point. It will have a screen protector, please double check it is on when not in use. It has 2 antennas - the round one on the dash is weather and the one stuck on the window is nav.
